Historical period films seem to be getting importance in Indian films. Akshay Kumar also seems to have a liking for such films. After Gold and Anurag Singh’s Kesari, the actor will be seen in another historical period film.

Akshay Kumar will be seen in the role of Indian king Prithviraj Chauhan in his next film. The film will have both romance and action. This is the reason why Akshay Kumar has been selected in the lead role of Prithviraj Chauhan.

The film is directed by Chandraprakash Dwiwedi who had earlier directed Pinjar and Chanakya.

Akshay Kumar will begin prepping up for the role after he completes shooting for Housefull 4 and Kesari.
