Anumaner Bhittite Interprets Self-Independence In A New Way

Anumaner Bhittite, a film directed by Abhigyan Mukherjee and presented by Vivek Dholariya, is scheduled for release by Skailand Entertainment.

Everyone wants to be independent. When someone is capable of doing amazing things on their own, who wants to rely on them? What exactly is self-independence? Is it just about making your own choices in life? What is the relationship between happiness and self-reliance? Here, well-known author Arka Jyoti Mitra releases his tenth book, Anumaner Bhittite. For the past fifteen years, he has been writing.

He provides answers to the questions that the media assumed when he published his first book, fifteen years ago, in Anumaner Bhittite. Anumaner Bhittite interprets the concept of self-independence and the struggle for it in four distinct chapters. A career-focused Bharatnatyam dancer who unexpectedly becomes pregnant, a food blogger who runs the channel “Thammu Natir Heshel” with her grandson, and a woman who finds her lady love after 55 years are the main themes of the chapters. The chapters are connected to form a single narrative.

The director said, “Anumaner Bhittite aims to help viewers identify with its characters. The movie explores what true self-independence means in today’s society, where the fight for autonomy is ongoing. The fact that seasoned actors like Aloknanda Ray Banerjee and Lily Chakraborty trusted me and my vision makes me feel immensely honored. I am equally appreciative of the opportunity to work with an outstanding ensemble cast that includes Rohaan Bhattacharya, Amrita Chattopadhyay, and Sreelekha Mitra. The goal of a classic family drama is to engage the Bengali audience by making them laugh, cry, and remain fully involved for two hours. My heartfelt gratitude is extended to Subhadip Mitra and Vivek Dholariya (Skailand Entertainment), whose steadfast assistance made this vision a reality. I’m making a comeback to the Kolkata film industry with my third feature film after an eight-year break. I’m determined to give this my all because the entire team believes in my script”.

The cast of the film consists of Sreelekha Mitra as Indrani (Oncologist), Shreema Bhattacherjee as Amrita (Journalist), Lily Chakraborty as Mitali (Food Vlogger), Alokananda Roy as Sangeeta (Singer), Dibyasha Das as young Sangeeta, Alokananda Guha as young Mitali, Shankar Chakraborty as Amarjeet (Arko’s Father), Ayush Das as young Arko, Amrita Chattopadhyay as Anushka (Bharatnatyam Dancer), Rohan Bhattacharya as Arko (Writer), Devduttaa Ghosh as Mayukh (Mitali’s Grandson and Food Vlogger) and Swati Mukherjee as Jyotsna (Arko’s Mother).

The music has been composed by Mainak Mazoomdar and Arunava Khasnobis.

The shoot is currently in progress.
