Art is the main driving force in the life of an artist. This is what is the main crux of the upcoming Bengali film Poila Boisakh directed by Bhaskar Chowdhury.

The film is essentially a tale of two sisters-Ahana and Anandi. They are two dancers. They run a dance troupe together in Jharkhand’s Madhupur. Ahana is married to Palash. They try to preserve the Bengali culture in a different state with their utmost ability. They get a chance to perform at an event in Kolkata on Poila Boisakh. However a mishap changes everything. A murder mystery and a thriller angle will also be found in this film’s story line.

Srabanti and Aparajita Adhya will be seen playing the role of the two sisters. Sujon Mukhopadhyay will be seen as Aparajita’s husband.

The shooting of the film will begin soon.
