In the august presence of Shweta Bhattacharya, Srabani Bhunia, Dipankar De and Rahul Chakravarti, Business Head-COLORS Bangla & Odia, the press conference of COLORS Bangla’s upcoming serial Kanak Kakan took place.

The serial narrates the story of two sisters namely Kanak and Kakan. They share a deep bond after the death of their parents. Kanak is the younger sister and is a sprinter while Kakan is a good dancer. Kakan has lung problems yet she gives tuitions to make ends meet. Due to her lung problem she cannot become a sprinter and fulfil her father’s dreams. So she tries her level best to make her sister achieve her father’s dreams. Will their love and care pass the test of time?

“There is not a single serial in which I have not danced. I have always been more inclined towards dance. Acting was never my primary interest. However with the help of the serials, I could fulfil my wish of dancing” said Shweta who plays Kakan in the serial.

Srabani plays Kanak in the serial. The actress opined that the serial narrates the tale of two sisters and their journey will be relatable for the audience. She also shared that her bond with her co-actress Shweta was good and was getting better with the passing of time.

The story, screenplay, dialogue and music are by Snehasish Chakroborty.
The title song has been sung by Trisha Parui. The director of the serial is Snehasish Chakroborty.

The DOP is Debobroto Mullick and the editor is Bapon Pramanick.
Chaitali Chakroborty, Apurva, Suvankar and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the serial.

Kanak Kakan will begin from 15th April, every Monday to Saturday at 8 pm.
