Dear 90’s Marks The Great TV Debut Of Koel Mallick

Why is first love so memorable? The anticipation of a handwritten note, the thrill of a first crush, or the small moments that linger in our memories long after they are gone? Sony AATH’s new Bengali fiction show, Dear 90’s, is scheduled to debut on November 23. It will revisit the warmth, innocence, and delicate charm of first love.
Dear 90’s, Koel Mallick‘s television debut, will transport viewers to a time of music cassettes, handwritten letters, and unspoken crushes, when love was straightforward, unfolded at its own pace, emotions were conveyed subtly, and small gestures carried the greatest significance. The story, which is set in the 1990s, depicts the pleasures and uncertainties of growing up, pursuing aspirations, and falling in love for the first time. But can that initial love endure as life progresses and partnerships take unforeseen turns?
Speaking about the show, Koel Mallick said, “The 1990s were a unique period, particularly in terms of relationships and love. The way individuals showed their emotions, the thrill of waiting for someone, the delight of tiny gestures, and the memories that lingered for years all had a certain innocence. I was drawn to Dear 90s because it reminds us of a time when falling in love felt genuinely wonderful and transports us back to those feelings. I’m glad to be a part of a narrative that honors love, maturing, self-discovery, and treasured memories. I hope viewers find a little bit of their own narrative in the show and relish the nostalgia”.
Produced by Surinder Films Pvt. Ltd., Dear 90’s features Koel Mallick, Sankhajit Sengupta, and Aparajita Mukerjee in lead roles.
Dear 90’s will air from 23rd November 2026 on Sony AATH and Sony LIV.
