Greenply Industries Limited has partnered with GreenLine Mobility Solutions Ltd to incorporate LNG-powered trucks into its outbound logistics network. Marked by a recent vehicle flag-off at Greenply’s Vadodara manufacturing facility, this initiative will deploy GreenLine’s eco-friendly fleet to transport finished goods across Greenply’s distribution channels, significantly lowering carbon emissions from heavy freight transport.

This integration adds a cleaner, cost-effective alternative fuel to Greenply’s supply chain, expanding its environmental commitment directly into material transport. The decision aligns with India’s broader shift toward sustainable commercial freight, where LNG offers a significantly lighter footprint than standard diesel.

Compared to traditional long-haul diesel transport, GreenLine’s LNG-powered fleet delivers substantial air quality and climate benefits:

  • Carbon Dioxide (CO): Reduced by up to 40%
  • Sulfur Oxides (SOx): Reduced by up to 100%
  • Nitrogen Oxides (NOx): Reduced by up to 59%
  • Particulate Matter (PM): Reduced by up to 91%
  • Carbon Monoxide (CO): Reduced by up to 70%

For Greenply, adopting LNG trucks is a strategic step toward embedding responsible practices across its entire value chain, extending its environmental focus beyond manufacturing into logistics and distribution.

As a leader in India’s low-emission heavy freight sector, GreenLine operates over 1,000 LNG and electric trucks across key industrial corridors—serving sectors like steel, cement, FMCG, and chemicals. Having logged more than 100 million clean kilometers, GreenLine’s fleet has already enabled its partners to eliminate over 27,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions.

Integrating LNG-powered trucks allows Greenply to test the practical performance and viability of alternative fuels within its real-world dispatch network. Future expansions of eco-friendly transport options across its supply chain will be guided by the insights and performance data gained from this rollout.

This move underscores a growing industrial trend where corporate sustainability expands beyond the factory floor. By addressing transport emissions, Greenply aligns its distribution practices with its broader environmental goals, helping pioneer more responsible supply chain management in India.
