The trailer of Mohomaya was launched in the presence of director Kamaleswar Mukherjee, Swastika Mukherjee, Ananya Chatterjee, Rabi Ranjan Maitra, Rohit Samanta, Sahana Dutta, and others. The series marks the debut of Ananya Chatterjee and Kamaleswar Mukherjee in the digital space.

Mohomaya will see Sahana Dutta turn Creative Director and Co-Producer for the show apart from writing the story, screenplay, dialogue, and lyrics for the series.

The trailer shows the character of Rishi whose past is full of secrets around his deceased mother Maya. When he meets Aruna, the classmate of his mother, he feels affection that he has longed for all his life. What starts as a mother-like affection soon becomes a compulsive obsession destroying a normal family.

This is Swastika Mukherjee’s 6^th project with Hoichoi. The actress said jokingly that Hoichoi will surely get tired of seeing her face soon. She plays the role of Aruna in the series. “When I was first approached to do the series, I immediately said no. But later on, I chose to do Aruna. On becoming Aruna, it was not a complicated task. I wanted to deck up like my mother. And I have done so with this character” said Swastika Mukherjee.

Ananya Chatterjee plays Maya in the series. This is her first work in the digital space and she was excited to be a part of this show. “I had a great time shooting the series. Since I chose Maya and Swastika chose to play Aruna, we did not have to quarrel about it. Our producer was so good that we also could not throw tantrums on the set” said the actress.

The series is produced by A Missing Screw Production. The series also stars Sujan Mukherjee, Sagnik, Ankit Majumdar, and Shweta Chaudhuri in pivotal roles.

Mohomaya will start streaming on Hoichoi from the 26th of March.
