To award and honor artists in different fields, director Rinki Amar of Udaan Group has come up with this creative idea for Kalakriti Award. The announcement of the Kalakriti Award and unveiling of the Kalakriti Trophy by Udaan Group was done in the presence of Sudipta Banerjee, Sayantani Guhathakurta, Mrs. Rinki Amar, Sneha Ghosal, and others.

There will be special category awards for the artists who may not be directly involved in the art but might be involved in other jobs like jewelry designer, fashion designer, nutritionist, and so on.

Speaking at the occasion, Sayantani Guhathakurta said “This is a good initiative to honor those artists who might not be in the entertainment field but also have made a contribution in their respective fields. As artists, it is important to get acknowledged for their work. This motivates them to work hard and better”.

The Kalakriti award ceremony will take place on 24^th February, Thursday at J.W. Marriott, Kolkata. There will be thirty awards in different categories like Best Director, Best Cinematographer, Best Actor, and so on.
