Ma Sarada Bhakta Mandali engaged in Saraswati Puja by combining traditional and modern elements in the puja of the goddess.

Like other Pujas in Kolkata, Saraswati Pujas also are theme centric in today’s times. Maniktala’s Ma Sarada Bhakta Mandali in their 19^th year also had a theme for their Saraswati Pujo.

The five day long Pujo’s theme was made by Somnath Das. The theme has elements of tradition and modernity too. At the entrance of the pandal, there is a Sun wheel indicating wealth and peace. The pandal’s look has been designed keeping in mind the old civilization’s of humankind. To depict the modern civilization, science and technology have been depicted.

The tissue work designs added great beauty to the idol of the goddess.

Apart from the puja, Prasad were distributed to the devotees, cultural event and prize distribution also took place.
