The poster launch of director Swastika Roy’s debut short film Mayankur took place recently.

Assistant director Chayan Mukherjee, actor Abhijit Bhattacharya, Jayanta Parbat, Guddu, actress Sanchita Roy, story and scriptwriter Priyana Chakraborty, and Nilanjana Chatterjee graced the event.

The director is the granddaughter of renowned film critic Late Bijoy Roy. She passed her graduation and has been pursuing her further studies.

The film is a psychiatric thriller. The film will question different concepts like right and wrong, illusion and reality. The director however did not want to reveal much about the storyline of the film as this is a short film.

The film has been produced by A. N Production.

The film has been shot in different parts of Kolkata.

The director said that the film will soon release online on YouTube.
