Rakshak Foundation in association with the Greening Committee of the U.S. Consulate General of Kolkata observed Earth Day on 22nd April 2019 at Allen Park, Kolkata.

Rakshak Team planted saplings in the park and distributed free 300 Jute Bags made by the inmates of Correctional Home of West Bengal under the project ‘Jute Story Beyond Bars’ at the occasion.

This initiative promoted inclusiveness, the use of eco-friendly biodegradable products replacing the non biodegradable products for a sustainable Clean Green Earth for us and our future generations.

With the help of this initiative, the diverse range of eco friendly and trendy jute products was promoted. This contributed towards Climate Action Goal under the Sustainability Development Goals of United Nation.
