The entire cast and crew of the upcoming Bengali film Shlilatahanir Pore were present at the Shubh Muhurat puja and script reading session.

The film is by Reshmi Mitra and is based on a novel by Mallika Sengupta.

Rape has become rampant in today’s times, that not a single day goes without one reading about rape. Not only adult women but also small girls are also being raped. The trauma and the pain that the woman has to undergo due to becoming a rape victim are immense. The woman’s fight against the trauma and pain and her journey of overcoming the obstacles is what the film’s story all about.

The cast of the film consists of Soumitra Chatterjee, Sreela Majumder, Rahul Banerjee, Mouboni Sorcar, Ishan Mazumder, Shubham, Devlina Kumar and others.

The music of the film is by Raja Narayan Dev and the lyrics are by Gautam Susmit and Chandan Mukherjee.
