The third edition of Woodlands Hospital‘s flagship community outreach program, Khudeder Puja Safar, was held on Chaturthi, giving twenty kids a unique chance to experience the excitement and vitality of Durga Puja through a specially planned Puja Parikrama throughout Kolkata.

The day started at Woodlands Hospital with prayers and blessings from Goddess Durga, followed by the children’s dedication of the hospital’s Durga idol in front of Mr. Rupak Barua, Managing Director and CEO of Woodlands Multispeciality Hospital. A day full of joyous festivities, cultural discoveries, and shared experiences began with the formal inauguration.

The kids saw some of Kolkata’s well-known Durga Puja pandals while traveling, and they delighted in the artistry, workmanship, and joyous atmosphere that permeates the city each year. The trip provided a first-hand look at one of Bengal’s most beloved customs, from appreciating the distinctive themes and installations to taking in the surrounding lights, colors, and festivities.

The campaign was more than simply a pandal-hopping adventure; it was about fostering moments of joy, exploration, and community. As the kids explored during its most popular festival, the city came alive with excitement, wonder, and shared laughter, creating memories that will last long after the celebrations are over.

In its third year, Khudeder Puja Safar is still a unique Durga Puja program run by Woodlands Hospital, demonstrating the hospital’s commitment to community involvement and its belief that treatment should extend beyond the hospital’s walls. Through initiatives like this, the hospital seeks to foster inclusivity, create real connections, and disseminate the festival’s core values of joy and harmony.
