The premiere of director Jiit Chakraborty’s film Shesher Golpo took place recently in the presence of the cast and crew at Priya Cinema.

The film is an extension of Shesher Kobita. After many years of separation of Amit and Labanya, Amit now runs an old age home on the outskirts of the city. One day a retired professor of Oxford University comes there. She is none other than Labanya, his long lost love. There is also a parallel story of Akash and Kuhu. They have similar circumstances as was faced by Amit and Labanya many years ago. Does Amit and Labanya’s story get a happy ending? Will Kuhu and Akash have the same fate like Amit and Labanya?

The music of the film has been composed by Joy Sarkar. Nachiketa, Rupankar Bagchi, Anupam Roy, Somlata Acharya and Kaushiki Chakraborty have sung the songs in the film. The lyrics are by Rajib Chakraborty. There are four songs in the film.

The cast of the film consists of Soumitra Chatterjee, Mamata Shankar, Kharaj Mukherjee, Pallavi Chatterjee, Arna Mukhopadhyay, Durga Santra, Krishnokishor Mukhopadhyay and others.

Arna who plays Akash in the film said that he was both excited and nervous about how the audience will react to the film.

Durga Santra plays Kuhu in this film. The actress was thrilled to share screen space with veteran actors like Soumitra Chatterjee and Mamata Shankar in a film which has such an unconventional story line. The actress however was nervous about the reaction of the audience.
