“I Needed A Medium To Express Myself And Hence I Made This Film”- Director Raju Debnath on Beautiful Life
Director Raju Debnath’s film Beautiful Life was screened at the 26th Kolkata International Film Festival.
The story of the film is about a cerebral atrophy patient named Jhumki. Her parents take her to a forest on her birthday and she begins to paint. The story revolves around Jhumki and how three people – an artist, a scientist, and a sculptor get involved with this patient.
The producer of the film is Pradip Churiwal. The music of the film has been composed by Shantanu Basu.
Speaking at the press meet, the director said “I was looking for a way to tell this story. I did not find painting, sculpting to be useful in expressing myself. So I decided to make this film to share this story with the audience”.
The cast of the film consists of Rituparna Sengupta, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Paran Bandopadhyay, Kalyani Mondal, Shila Majumdar, and Sayantani Sengupta.
The film is of 108 minutes duration.
