The trailer launch of the upcoming Bengali film Kishmish took place in the presence of the director Rahool Mukherjee, Dev, Rukmini, and others.

Kishmish’s trailer gives the audience a peek into a timeless love story that has a multilayered narrative. The trailer has enough romance and emotions to keep the audience engaged.

The romantic comedy, which features some exciting 2D animation, explores love across three timelines. One of the stories also has a political underpinning. This film will show what today’s generation thinks about love. As we can see from the trailer, this film appears to be an honest attempt to explore the true essence of love from a different perspective, as Dev and Rukmini pose the question, “What is love?” to everyone.

Dev will play four different characters in the rom-com, ranging in age from 16 to 45, and while preparing for the role, he lost a whopping 15 kilograms.

Rukmini, on the other hand, plays Rohini Sen, a woman who cherishes her close relationships as well as her values and principles. Rohini also represents the new-age college topper, whose views have always been liberal, but she prefers to do things the old-fashioned way when it comes to love.

Directed by Rahool Mukherjee, the cast of the film consists of Kharaj Mukherjee, Kamaleshwar Mukherjee, Anjana Basu, and, June Malia in important roles.

Ankush, Rituparna Sengupta, Srabanti Chatterjee, and Jisshu Sengupta will be seen in cameos in the upcoming Bengali film.

The film will release on 29th April.
