The first and most popular gastropub in India, Monkey Bar, is returning to Kolkata. Monkey Bar returns to Park Street with a new, upgraded persona that combines its unique food, beverages, music, and unmistakable Monkey craziness after a much-loved first chapter in the city.

The new area, which is divided into two floors and offers diverse programs and experiences on each level, gives Park Street a very different vibe. Monkey Bar is back in the city to make a bit more noise, offering everything from meals, music, and late-night hangouts to informal afternoon catch-ups and post-work beverages.

A menu that combines regional Indian flavors, Kolkata influences, and international comfort food is the focal point of Monkey Bar. The menu adheres to Monkey Bar’s strategy of taking well-known flavors and giving them a fun, modern spin.

A variety of small plates, hot snacks, flatbreads, local specialties, and street-food favorites that have been a part of Monkey Bar’s history over the years are what patrons can anticipate.

The menu consists of Pindi Chana Hummus, Firecracker Thecha Paneer, Madras Spice Tofu, Bengali Radhuni Chicken, Banana Blossom Satay, Gongura Chicken Satay, Bandel Malai Fish, Prawn Stars, Tiger B**f, Ghee Roast Chicken, Champaran Mutton, and Tiramisu.

Chef Sumit Choudhary created the cuisine, which combines flavors that are comfortable in Kolkata with the brand’s Indian and international inspirations.

The bar takes the same lighthearted approach to cocktails, combining well-known favorites with surprising Indian flavors and regional ingredients.

On offer are Tales of India, Gondhoraj Gimlet, Amla Gibson, Church Street Corner, the Dirty Daisy, Kaapi Martini, Amada Penicillin, and Fuego Fizz.

Taking up two levels on Park Street, the new Monkey Bar creates a lively, tropical-inspired area that is meant to change throughout the day.

An energetic yet welcoming ambiance is created by the combination of vibrant colors, rich vegetation, and whimsical design features. The facility can easily transition from laid-back meals during the day to exciting evenings and late-night music thanks to its two floors.
