After almost 17 years Jalan Productions is back to producing a relationship drama Kothamrito starring Kaushik Ganguly and Aparajita Auddy in the lead. It is a relationship drama with an unconventional love story between them.

After garnering accolades for his first film ‘Sesher Golpo’ starring Mamata Shankar and Late Soumitra Chatterjee Jiit Chakraborty is back again with his favourite genre.

Sanatan (Kaushik Ganguly) and Sulekha (Aparajita Auddy) are the perfect husband-and-wife in their neighborhood. Rik and his child are the epitome of a perfect family, and they are loved, adored, and respected. Sanatan is mute, but those close to him have learned to understand him over time, with the help of Sanatan’s pocket diary, which he refers to as Kothamrito.

Sanatan is also the locality’s president, and Sulekha is the women’s de-facto matriarch. Babun (Biswanath Basu) and Ananya are also important characters in this locality but their marriage and domestic harmony are always harmed by their own lack of communication and understanding. What happens next?

The story has been written by Jit Dutta. The songs are composed by Amit-Ishan, Proshen, and Ronojoy Bhattacharya. Modhura Palit is the cinematographer of the film.

The shoot will start on 23^rd April’2022.

The film is scheduled for release in 2022.
