Upcoming Bengali film Nokshi Kanthar Khonje is based on Bengali verse narrative Nakshi Kanthar Math written by poet Jasimuddin. When the Bengali litrerary scenario was plagued by the European style of writing, Jasimuddin’s style was like a fresh leash of life for the Bengali literary scene.

Nakshi Kanthar Math is a love story between two village individuals namely Rupai and Saju. Their love story and their patience is a great learning example for the people in today’s fast times. Keeping this love story in mind, the Bengali film has been made.

An important part of the film has been shot in poet Jasimuddin’s house in Bangladesh.

Soumitra Chatterjee (Jasimuddin), Rahul (Rupai), Dalia Ghosh (Saju) and others will be seen in pivotal roles in the film.

The music is by Surojit Chatterjee and Nilakash Roy. The script is Shaheen Akhtar. The story and direction is by Hrishikesh Mondal.

The production house is Rahul Film and Tele Production.
