In the august presence of National Award-winning musician Anupam Roy and actor Sauraseni Maitra, the love ballad Darun was released.

The concept of the song revolves around the concept of unattainable love. The video shows that the seeker knows that the love is not real. However, the seeker satisfies his desire by seeking something similar to a dream, a mirage and completely unreachable.

Anupam Roy said that this song Darun speaks about the relationship between a poet and his muse. It is the poet’s imagination that makes his muse special. The poet also feels that he must never confuse reality with his imagination.

Anupam Roy is the first exclusive non-film partner for Saregama. Saregama will be releasing four new songs of different genres with Anupam Roy. The first song Putul Ami was released on Valentine’s Day.

When asked whether there will be another part of the song, Anupam Roy said “Let us see the reaction of the audience to this song. Then we will think whether there will be another part of this song”.

Sauraseni who plays the muse in this song said “I have been a fan of Anupam Roy’s songs. And to play his muse and feature opposite him in the music video has been a fascinating experience indeed”.

The song is produced by Saregama and directed by Rohan Basu.
