The National Human Rights and Corruption Prevention Organisation (NHRCPO) organized the National Convention Against Cybercrime and Human Rights at the Rotary Sadan Auditorium.

This historic occasion aimed to discuss the growing problems of cybercrime and how it affects human rights in the digital age. The urgent need for strong cybersecurity measures and human rights protections has been highlighted by India’s rapid digital transformation and the rise in cyberthreats, such as data breaches, online fraud, and digital exploitation. Policymakers, cybersecurity specialists, lawyers, human rights defenders, and community leaders convened at the convention to promote discussion, exchange ideas, and create workable plans to fight cybercrime while preserving fundamental rights.

The Chief Speaker was Dr Ruma Gomes, National President, NHRCPO. The Conference Chairman was Umakant Mishra. The Chief Guest was Bezwada Wilson Human Rights Activist, and others graced the event.

The relationship between digital security and individual liberties was covered by esteemed speakers, including well-known personalities in the fields of cybersecurity and human rights.

Experts discussed issues like ethical digital governance, preventing cybercrime, and the function of laws in defending human rights in the digital age.
