A press conference for Rabindra Kabya Rahasya was organized in the presence of director Sayantan Ghosal, Srabanti Chatterjee, Ritwick Chakraborty, Priyanshu Chatterjee, and Debojyoti Mishra.

The story is about figuring out the truth behind a string of murders that occur in modern-day London. Avik (Ritwick Chakraborty), a writer and Tagore scholar who is also a detective, is looking into the case. His true goal is to expose the so-called intellectuals of society who are trying to damage Tagore’s reputation. After arriving in London, he befriends Hiya (Srabanti Chatterjee), a Rabindrasangeet singer. They realise that their lives are also in jeopardy after learning that all of the people who have been killed thus far are Tagore scholars. What happens next?

The music of the film has been composed by Debojyoti Mishra. “Sayantan is a good director. He is very cool-minded and he knows what he wants. If he wants something, he will ask for it very coolly. He is never angry or agitated. It will be great to watch the film on the big screen,” said the music director.

The director said that the film does not only revolve around Tagore but also is a murder mystery. There is a time zone, too. One murder happened 100 years ago, and the next 100 years after. He further added that he fulfilled his dream of working with Priyanshu. He also praised Srabanti for working in one good film after another.

Priyanshu said, “I loved working with Sayantan due to his temperament. He is easy and cool-minded. He knew what he wanted from me, and I kept an open mind and followed him. This is how I completed the shoot. The team was amazing with fantastic actors. And I had a great time”.

Ritwick, who will be seen as Avik in the film, said, “Sayantan has made a name for himself as a good director of thriller films. There is a short form of Japanese poetry which has 5 or 7 syllables. Sayantan’s words are like that. He asks for what he wants from the actors in small syllables. And you have to understand what he wants. I had already worked as a detective in the series Gora, directed by Sayantan. And now I am working on this film as a writer”.

Srabanti looked beautiful in a red saree. “I play a special character in this film. I am not a singer, yet I play the role of a Rabindra Sangeet singer in the film. The director and the entire team helped me a lot in portraying this role. The main hero of the story is Rabindranath, and also the story itself. There is a mystery behind every character in the film. I am a fan of thriller films, and when I knew the director is Sayantan, I was excited,” said the actress.

The film will release on 20^th June.
