Renowned Ghanaian chef Rosy brought the vivid flavors of West Africa to Kolkata with a special African Pop-Up Food Festival at Flavours of Africa, Mukundapur, resulting in an incredible cultural and culinary festival in the City of Joy. Kolkata’s culinary enthusiasts first encountered the robust spices, hearty stews, and festive foods that characterize West African culture. The occasion turned the restaurant into a cultural melting pot where the celebratory atmosphere of the city blended with the culinary treasures of Africa, resulting in a unique dining experience that Kolkata had never witnessed before.

Chef Rosy, who has over 15 years of culinary experience, created a unique experience that sent diners directly to Africa. The pop-up was the city’s first-ever in-depth exploration of West African food, featuring hearty stews, bright spices, and genuine traditional treats.

Africa’s favorite meals were served on the specifically created menu, each presented with warmth and authenticity.

One can enjoy Jollof Rice with chicken sauce and salad priced at Rs 400, Fried Rice with chicken sauce and salad at Rs 400, Fish sauce with plantain at Rs 350, Plain rice with goat meat stew at Rs 450, and the crunchy Nigerian Chin-Chin at Rs 100.

Rich textures, robust flavors, and the heartfelt essence of African eating were all incorporated into each dish, resulting in a gastronomic experience that will never be forgotten.

The news that Chef Rosy’s African Pop-Up will be more than a one-day event added even more excitement to the celebration. The experience began on September 6 and runs every Saturday and Sunday from 1:00 to 3:00 until September 28. As a result, foodies in Kolkata had numerous chances to come back for the hearty stews, soulful Ghanaian dishes, and scorching Jollof rice that made Mukundapur the city’s newest culinary destination.
