Theobroma, a Mumbai-based patisserie known for its brownies, will open its first two locations in Kolkata. The brand is making its debut in Eastern India with outlets opening in Salt Lake and New Alipore.

Actress Sauraseni Maitra attended the store launch, along with Mr. Rishi Gour, CEO of Theobroma.

Dine-in, takeout, and delivery are available at both bakery-style establishments.

The menu includes all of Theobroma’s freshly baked cakes, pastries, brownies, cookies, savory dishes, sandwiches, and drinks. The Overload and Millionaire brownies, Dutch Truffle, and Tiramisu are among the highlights. Additionally, festive gift boxes and hampers will be offered for delivery as well as in-store.

The launch comes after Kolkata’s high demand. A video of a Theobroma signboard being erected in the city went popular on social media earlier this month.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Rishi Gour, CEO of Theobroma, said, “We didn’t want to arrive with anything less than our finest because Kolkata has been requesting Theobroma for a while. This city doesn’t wait for a special occasion to indulge in its sweets because it takes them seriously. We want to be a part of the moments individuals here create for themselves and each other, whether it’s a cake for the family or a brownie after a hard day. Our story in Eastern India begins with Salt Lake and New Alipore”.
