With the ceremonial introduction of a Coffee Table Book, ITC Sunrise Spices commemorated the completion of its historic Sunrise Pujor Satkahon program.

The book was unveiled by renowned actor and director Parambrata Chattopadhyay, popular actress Ishaa Saha, celebrated culinary personality Mrs. Sudipa Chatterjee, and renowned Durga Puja theme artist Mr. Anirban Pandalwala, and Mr. Piyush Mishra, Business Head, ITC Sunrise Spices.

Through its special effort, Sunrise Pujor Satkahon, ITC Sunrise Spices highlighted the vibrancy of all Bengal’s community pandals this year. Puja committees from all over the state were invited to contribute stories that captured the true spirit of Bengal’s festive mood outside of Kolkata. More than 1,500 puja committees from towns, villages, and districts took part in the campaign, and their inspiring stories capture Bengal’s commitment, creativity, and camaraderie.

The project resulted in a Coffee Table Book that features 250 original and motivational images and narratives that individually honor the customs, inventiveness, and communal ideals that characterize Durga Puja. Every tale provides a window into Bengal’s history, from neighborhood projects that bring entire communities together to century-old customs that have been upheld down the generations to para initiatives run solely by women. When taken as a whole, these tales guarantee that Bengal’s paras’ voices—which are frequently based on pride in the region—will continue to be heard as part of the state’s long-lasting celebratory heritage.

“Durga Puja is one of the most distinctive cultural expressions in the world, and its richness extends far beyond Kolkata. Sunrise Pujor Satkahon’s ability to portray Bengal’s lesser-known tales—the paras, towns, and villages where customs are upheld with equal fervor—was what most impressed me about it. This coffee table book captures moments that should be treasured and is a heartfelt ode to that mentality,” said Parambrata Chattopadhyay.

The event concluded with the recognition of the best pujas and the screening of a short campaign film tracing the journey of Sunrise Pujor Satkahon.
