Techno India Dama Hospital, in collaboration with Woman Times, organized She Shines, an evening honoring women whose tenacity, dignity, and quiet resolve continue to profoundly impact society, as a heartfelt celebration of International Women’s Day

The event was graced by distinguished personalities like Prof. Manoshi Roychowdhury, Co-Chairperson of Techno India Group and Co-Chancellor of Techno India University, actresses Ms Shakuntala Barua, Ms Chaiti Ghoshal and Ms Debolina Dutta, Indian Classical Odissi Dancer, Ms Sanchita Bhattacharya, Dr Bratati Bhattacharya, Academician – Director, Management Studies, JIS Group, Ms Shamima Khatoon, Advocate, Ms Geeta Raghani, Financial Advisor and Ms Dola Banerjee, Journalist.

Women from a variety of backgrounds, including successful professionals in entrepreneurship, healthcare, the arts, social work, and community leadership, came together for the event. In addition to well-known professionals, the organizers deliberately made the decision to honor women whose experiences frequently go unnoticed.

“Unsung Sheroes”—women whose perseverance and daily labor support families and communities—were honored in a special section of the show. Among them were female taxi drivers, Kumartuli-based artisans, and a number of others whose lives served as silent examples of resilience and dignity.

The celebration also recognized the extraordinary bravery of female dialysis patients, whose unrelenting medical journeys frequently come with significant social, emotional, and physical obstacles.

A Special Attention Health Session was also arranged as part of the program to address significant facets of women’s mental and physical health. The session featured expert insights from Dr. Rajashree Roy Badyopadhayay, Psychiatrist, Dr. Amrita Chaudhury, Obstetrician & Gynaecologist, and Dr. Payel Kr Roy, Critical Care Nutritionist & Clinical Dietitian. They offered advice on women’s reproductive health, mental health, and the value of a balanced diet in maintaining general well-being. In addition to encouraging women to prioritize their health while juggling the numerous obligations of daily life, the interactive session sought to raise awareness.

The program honored women whose journeys inspired bravery and hope through felicitation ceremonies, one-on-one conversations, and contemplative moments. The organizers of this project aimed to foster a culture that values resilience in addition to achievement.
