The Indian Army and Aakash Educational Services Limited (AESL), a national leader in test preparation services, have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to support the welfare of Army personnel and their families, including active members, retirees, gallantry awardees, personnel with disabilities, and families of those who have lost their lives while serving.

Indian Army students who want to enroll in its courses at any of its PAN India centers or branches will receive benefits from AESL under this Memorandum of Understanding. Dr. Yash Pal, Chief Academic & Business Head, Delhi-NCR, AESL, and Colonel Ceremonial & Welfare, Indian Army, signed the contract.

The MoU offers scholarships for courses at AESL centers across the country as part of its efforts to promote the welfare of Indian Army personnel and their families:

  • For the wards of personnel who passed away while in harness, only the registration fee is due; all other fee components are waived in full.
  • Wards of personnel with more than 20% disability and gallantry awards are eligible for a 100% tuition fee waiver.
  • After deducting other scholarships, wards of serving and retired personnel are eligible for a 20% tuition fee waiver.

All applicants for admission can apply for these scholarships in addition to AESL’s current scholarship programs.

Throughout the duration of the Memorandum of Understanding, AESL will also offer wards of Indian Army personnel comprehensive mentoring and counseling support, addressing academic and career-related inquiries via both virtual and physical platforms.

Additionally, AESL recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Central Reserve Police Force Family Welfare Association (CWA) to offer children and families of CRPF personnel throughout India comprehensive academic support, scholarships, and career guidance.
