Production house Adika Productions has officially announced its upcoming Bengali feature film, Rahu, based on a gripping story by Sauvick Pandit.

During a press conference held at the production house’s headquarters, producer Aditya Ashok shared that the film will be directed by the visionary filmmaker Sauvick Pandit. Setting a major milestone in regional cinema, the director revealed that Rahu will introduce the ‘Moonsoon Noir’ stylistic genre to Bengali films for the very first time.

The plot revolves around the central character, Raktim, whose life is completely upended by a mysterious, supernatural event one fateful night. As a wave of brutal murders creates panic across the city, Raktim discovers an ancient curse awakening deep within him. Caught in a chilling psychological and physical struggle between human morality and a monstrous urge, he begins hunting down the city’s hidden criminals under the cover of darkness.

Blending the supernatural with romance, suspense, thrills, and gritty crime, Rahu promises an edge-of-the-seat cinematic experience.

The film boasts an ensemble cast featuring Gourab Roy Chowdhury in the lead role as Raktim, alongside Prantika Das, Soumi Chatterjee, Sudip Mukherjee, Rohit Mukherjee, Pradip Dhar, Raju Majumdar, Debparna Chakraborty, and Alok Das in pivotal roles.

In addition to its thrilling narrative, the film will feature a stellar musical score composed by Imon and Soumyadip, adding emotional depth and atmospheric resonance to the unfolding mystery. With its unique genre blending noir aesthetics with rainy, atmospheric storytelling, Rahu is poised to captivate audiences and push the boundaries of contemporary Bengali cinema when it hits the big screen.
