Director Joydeep Mukherjee will show the plight of the workers of closed factories in his new film Akash Ongshoto Meghla. The story will show what happens to individuals when their dreams are broken.

The film’s story is about two disconnected men who have lost their way of life due to an unexpected lockout of the factory. Rasomoy Bagchi’s life is shattered when he loses his job in a jute mill as labor. His age-old political beliefs are also shattered by a series of events. Another story unfolds seven to eight years later. Anirban Sarkar is a brilliant student who had to leave midway through his studies to support his family. Despite being such a talented student, he fails to secure a job due to the corruption in the system. What happens next?

The film is based on two short stories by Swapnomoy Chakroborty.

The cast of the film consists of Rudranil Ghosh, Rahul Banerjee, Ankita Chakraborty, Basabdatta Chatterjee, Debdut Ghosh, Rumki Chatterjee, Sankar Debnath, and others.

Akash Ongshoto Meghla is produced by Daga Production.

The film is eyeing for release soon.
