An Exhibition on 100 Years of Bengali Cinema Inaugurated by Jaya Bachchan and Soumitra Chatterjee
An exhibition on 100 years of Bengali Cinema titled Chalchitro was inaugurated at Gaganendra Shilpa Pradarshashala.
The exhibition was inaugurated in the august presence of Jaya Bachchan and Soumitra Chatterjee.
A host of Tollywood actors like Prosenjit Chatterjee, Rituparna Sengupta, Ranjit Mallick, Biswajit Chatterjee,his daughter Shambhavi Chatterjee, painter Subhaprasanna and others were also present at the occasion.
The posters of yesteryear Bengali films like Pather Panchali (1955), Dadathakur (1962), Ganadebata (1978), Chokh (1982), Shotru (1984) and other films were showcased at this exhibition.
Similarly on display were posters of directors like Sir Birendranath Sircar, Dhirendranath Ganguly, Nitin Bose, Satyajit Ray, Tapan Sinha and others.
