The colorful grounds of Dum Dum Cantonment in Kolkata became a glittering world of lights, music, and elegance on a warm evening. As guests started to arrive for an amazing event called Rhythm & Runway, presented by Ashika Dance Class, there was a sense of excitement in the air. This wasn’t your typical show. It was a celebration of expression, art, and the exquisite blending of fashion and dance.

The stage was illuminated by golden lights, and even before the performances started, the silhouettes of models and dancers appeared to come to life. The runway shimmered like a road to dreams, and the sound of music checks echoed softly. Young performers were backstage adjusting costumes, applying makeup, and whispering encouragement to one another at the last minute. For many, this was a long-awaited moment rather than just a performance.

As the hosts welcomed a distinguished lineup of chief guests, the evening began with grace and gratitude. Angela Raha, an entrepreneur and public relations expert, stood for aspiration and contemporary success, while Gurujeet Singh, a well-known singer, brought the magic of music. Renowned ophthalmologist Dr. Zeenat represented commitment and accuracy. Additionally, Lion Ashissh Jhunjhunwala, a well-known leader, exemplified leadership and inspiration. They were all greeted with dignity, and their presence enhanced the evening’s prestige and coziness.

About fifty students of Ashika Dance Class took part in the event.

The first performance started as the lights went down. A nervous but determined young dancer took the stage. Her confidence grew as the music did. Her body language conveyed a narrative without words, evoking feelings each audience member could relate to. Group performances quickly brought the stage to life with coordinated movements, emotive expressions, and thrilling energy.

The runway then appeared. Models displayed not only style but also individuality as they walked with grace and assurance. Styles from the past and present coexisted harmoniously to tell tales of creativity, culture, and identity. Every walk was a statement rather than just a show.

The audience cheered, applauded, and occasionally fell silent as they were engrossed in the magic unfolding before them.

The idea of Ashika Dance Class, a platform that develops talent and gives young artists the confidence to shine, was the driving force behind it all. “Rhythm & Runway is not just a show—it’s a stage where passion finds its voice, confidence finds its wings, and every performer discovers their true self,” said Ashika.

Fearful novices had transformed into self-assured performers. Dreams had transitioned from fantasy to reality.
