Enjoy Four Eminent Durga Pujas Of Kolkata With MetaPujo
In a first-of-its-kind initiative, Metaform and XP&DLand announced the MetaPujo. With this initiative, one can begin their journey into the future that introduces Kolkata’s famous Durga Puja celebrations to the Metaverse. This Pujo season, 3D twins on the Metaverse will provide access to the well-known and iconic Ahiri Tala Sarbojanin, Deshapriya Park, Ballygunge Cultural, and Tala Prattay pandals.
Sukrit Singh, Co-Founder, Metaform & XP&DLand, said that this will help in bridging the gap between devotion and technology. Maa Durga will get an enhanced address on Web 3.0 where the devout from across the world will be able to enter a three-dimensional recreation of the pandals and take part in darshans. Attendees would be able to claim four NFTs of the idols that have been designed especially for the occasion.
In the next year, they are targeting over 100 next year, and in the near future, every single pandal on the ground will have a metaverse twin.
Meta Pujos will help people to celebrate the Durga Pujo without staying in Kolkata.
One can enter a shared social space where people from across the world can come together and walk around, interact, and even take photographs. Users can make a meta-realistic avatar of themselves in minutes. The platform is accessible to all through simple smartphones, tablets, and wearables.
MetaPujo will introduce four unique NFTs of Maa Durga idols from Deshapriya Park, Tala Prattay, Ahiri Tala Sarbojanin, and Ballygunge Central. The four NFTs will be dropped for free on XP&DLand, for devotees and collectors who may want to claim them using their Web 3.0 wallets.
In the future, the idea is to monetize the collectibles and drive community with utility at a later stage with the intent to build a self-sustaining business.
