Thakurpukur Ichheymoto also known as “Ichheymoto Theatre Group” organized a night-long theatre festival, titled “Ichheymoto Parbon” on 31st Dec 2022 at the Academy of Fine Arts.

It was inaugurated by theatre personalities like Bishnupriya Dutta (Prof. In Theatre), Bimal Chakraborty (Actor and Director), and Kamaleswar Mukhopadhyay (Actor and Director).

The entire event was hosted by Roy Choudhury who is known as RJ Roy. He also performed “Shabdabaji-bangla sabder khela” in between the intervals.

The first Drama that was performed was by “Nandikar”. The name of the drama was “Antaran”, and was directed by Saptarshi Moulik, and the Chief Advisor was Sohini Sengupta.

The second Drama that was performed was by “Prachyo theatre Group”. The name of the drama was “Gonika O Goyernika”, and was directed by Biplab Bandopadhyay. Actors Budhhadev Das, Suprana Das, and Amrita Mukhopadhyay were seen in pivotal roles.

The third drama that was performed was “Thakurpukur Ichheymoto”. The name of the drama was “Bhalobasa Podaboli”, and was written by Soumit Deb. Directed by Saurav Palodhi, actors Turna Das, and Joyraj Bhattacharya acted in this drama. The music was directed by Debdeep Mukherjee.

The fourth drama that was performed was by “Theatre Platform”. The name of the drama was “Life” and was directed by Debasish. Sudipta Chakraborty performed in this drama.

The fifth drama that was performed was “Thakurpukur Ichheymoto”. The name of the drama was “Maddy” and was directed by Saurav Palodhi. The music was composed by Debdeep Mukherjee. Actors Rahul Arunodoy Banerjee, Budhhadev Das, and Shantanu Mondal acted in this drama.

The sixth and last performance was “Noye Natua”. The director of the drama was Gautam Halder and he acted in the drama as well.

The theatre festival was a great way to end the New Year and welcome 2023.
