Ruby General Hospital has reaffirmed its status as a top healthcare provider in Eastern India by formally announcing a significant expansion of its surgical infrastructure. Six cutting-edge modular operating rooms (OTs) have been added to the hospital, including two dedicated transplant OTs and two sophisticated robotic surgery OTs. The hospital’s ability to perform intricate, life-saving procedures will be significantly increased by this expansion, which is in addition to its current five super specialty OTs.

The hospital also commemorated the official launch of two state-of-the-art robotic systems: the internationally recognized Da Vinci Robotic Surgical System for general and advanced surgical procedures, and the Orthopaedic Total Knee Replacement (TKR) Robotic Surgery system.

The facility and systems were inaugurated by Dr. Kamal Kumar Dutta (Chairman and Managing Director), Dr. Sourav Dutta (Director), and Mrs. Ruby Dutta (Director).

This expansion, according to CMD Dr. Kamal Kumar Dutta, closes the gap between advanced international medical technology and local accessibility.

The OTs’ use of robotics and artificial intelligence guarantees the highest level of patient safety and drastically reduces hospital stays, according to Director Dr. Sourav Dutta.

The expansion is evidence of Ruby General Hospital’s three-decade dedication to ongoing healthcare innovation and patient-centered care, according to director Mrs. Ruby Dutta.

Prominent medical professionals, including renowned transplant surgeon Dr. T. K. Saha and nephrologist Dr. Pratik Das, attended the press conference. Dr. Das and Dr. Saha both underlined the importance of having cutting-edge transplant facilities in the area, emphasizing that Ruby General Hospital’s new facilities meet this need.

Eminent robotic surgeons, such as Dr. Dipanjan Bhadra (Orthopaedics and Robotic Surgeon) and Dr. Debarchan Ghosh (General and Robotic Surgeon), also shared their perspectives, demonstrating the hospital’s multidisciplinary robotic expertise.

The robotic systems are fully functional and available for patient services, and the recently opened modular OTs will soon be operational.
