Why did you agree to do Abyakto?

Anubhav Kanjilal- I did not choose Abyakto. It was Abyakto who chose me. Arjunn da thought I would fit the role of the son very well and it is then that I got this role. I am a newcomer and I am glad that I got the chance.

How is Arjunn as a director?

Anubhav Kanjilal- He is very calm and focused as a director. He knows what he wants from his actors and technicians. That focus is essential for a director. I have done another film with him too. It was a good experience for me.

How was it shooting the film with Arpita Chatterjee? Can you share any funny incident from the shoot of the film?

Anubhav Kanjilal- She is a very classy lady who is a great person to work with. I am a newcomer and she accepted me. We shot for about ten days and everyday was a great experience for all of us. So it is very hard to pinpoint on a single memorable experience.

Sharing the screen with Adil Hussain must be another great experience that you had while shooting Abyakto.

Anubhav Kanjilal- It was a great learning for me and also for the others too. He is a fantastic actor and a great human being. The fact that he said yes to acting in this film was a huge thing for the film. Whenever the film was shown at any film festival, there was a craze around him. I am glad I could share screen with him.

Tell us something about your role in Abyakto.

Anubhav Kanjilal- Indro stays in Delhi for many years and comes back to his mother after his father’s death. He has many things unsaid to his mother. He has a certain aura around him. Credit goes to the writer for making Indro whatever he is.

Is there anything that have remained unsaid or Abyakto in your life?

Anubhav Kanjilal- Not really as I prefer to say whatever is my mind. However if something has remained unsaid, then it must have been so for a reason. And I will like to stay that way.

The film has received great appreciation at film festivals. Now it is releasing in Kolkata. What is your expectation from the audience in Kolkata?

Anubhav Kanjilal- The audience is the same everywhere. The people who saw the film at the festivals are nothing different from the ones in Kolkata. We have toiled very hard to make this film. Please make sure to go to the halls and watch the film.

Best of luck Team Abyakto!!
