Production is officially underway in and around Kolkata for director Abhigyan Mukherjee’s highly anticipated multi-generational drama, Anumaner Bhittite. Produced by Skailand Entertainment, the ambitious family epic has expanded its already massive ensemble cast midway through its extensive shooting schedule. In a strategic move to enrich the film’s complex, overlapping subplots, the filmmakers have brought a powerful mix of veteran actors and elite contemporary talent directly onto the active sets.

Leading the new additions to the cast is Tollywood diva Darshana Banik, who has been cast in one of the film’s most psychologically intricate and multi-layered roles. Deviating completely from standard romantic subplots, Banik portrays Mohini, a highly perceptive child psychologist. Her character’s journey serves as the emotional foundation for a crucial timeline, exploring a complex sibling relationship with Rohaan Bhattacharjee, who portrays her adult brother, Arko.

Adding to the film’s star power is the charming John Bhattacharya, whose character brings a new level of intensity to the modern-day timelines. Furthermore, the production has locked in a strong lineup of seasoned industry veterans to elevate and reinforce the movie’s overall thematic depth.

The production has secured a formidable lineup of seasoned talent to enrich the film’s complex domestic narrative. Versatile powerhouse Dolon Roy and acclaimed actor-director Abhijit Guha have boarded the project in pivotal senior roles. Their seasoned screen presence is expected to bring a distinct cinematic texture to the story, skillfully anchoring the structural friction and deep-rooted tensions within the central family.

Rounding off this impactful, mid-schedule casting surge are powerhouse character actors Judhajit Banerjee and Radhika Preeta Majumdar, alongside rising talent Arko Bhattacharya. Together, these additions introduce fresh layers of interpersonal conflict and dramatic weight to the ensemble.

The film is a cinematic adaptation of novelist Arka Jyoti Mitra’s hit 10th book. Titled Anumaner Bhittite, the narrative serves as a profound exploration of cross-generational identity, self-independence, and silent inner battles.

By seamlessly intertwining these new cast members with previously announced screen icons like Lily Chakraborty, Sreelekha Mitra, and Amrita Chattopadhyay, director Abhigyan Mukherjee is leaving no stone unturned.
