The first glimpse of Abhrajit Sen’s highly anticipated Bengali series Kotor has been released, providing viewers with an eerie look into a tale where crime, love, and secrets collide. An intense story with layers of suspense, emotional conflict, and a dark mystery that won’t go away is hinted at in the recently released images.

Kotor examines how a single discovery can cause relationships and lives to fall apart in unexpected ways, all set against the backdrop of an apparently typical Kolkata home. A gloomy atmosphere, intricate character relationships, and a simmering tension that develops at the nexus of the past and present are all hinted at in the first glance.

Shyamoupti Mudly, who portrays Kothakoli, said, “It’s been a great experience working with our director, Abhrajit Sen, who gives actors the freedom to shape their characters in their own way, making the process both comfortable and creatively fulfilling. I couldn’t say no as soon as I heard the story and my part. As a team, we sincerely attempted to bring something new to the screen, and working with well-known co-actors enhanced the ease and chemistry on set. Working on a new OTT platform is always exciting, and this project gave us a fantastic chance to explore who we are as artists. I’m excited to see how the audience reacts”.

“I had wanted to work with Abhrajit for a long time, as I truly admire him as a filmmaker and have always been a fan of his work. His projects feel incredibly honest and carry a distinct, raw signature style. He continued to remind me to keep things natural and normal even during this shoot. It’s unique that we’re finally collaborating on a story like this after so many discussions. Although I’ve seen a lot of thrillers, this one feels unique. No matter which character I’ve played on screen, this one is very special to me. I’m appreciative of everyone who provided me with this chance. The audience will see why I’m so enthusiastic about this character once they watch the series,” said Soumya Mukherjee, who plays Samya.

Suhotra Mukhopadhyay, who played Tirtha, said, “I had the chance to experience many new things while working on this project. It had a number of new components, including a new character, a new story, a new platform, new co-actors for me, and much more. All in all, it provided a range of novel and thrilling experiences, and I had a great time participating in it. The story has a lot of depth and entertainment value, and the team was a pleasure to work with. The audience will undoubtedly relate to it and value it just as much as we did while making it”.

Driven by a strong love triangle and an eerie mystery that gets deeper with each turn, the series promises an engrossing mix of romance and suspense.

Soon, Kotor will launch only on Sobsomoy, adding to the platform’s expanding collection of original Bengali content.
