In honor of World Kidney Day, Manipal Hospitals Kolkata opened the Manipal Comprehensive Transplant Centre, a specialized facility providing integrated transplant services for heart, kidney, liver, and bone marrow transplants, strengthening access to advanced organ transplant care in Eastern India. In order to provide seamless care from patient evaluation and surgery to post-transplant recovery and long-term follow-up, the center brought together top specialists, cutting-edge infrastructure, and a multidisciplinary clinical approach.

In Eastern India, where the demand for sophisticated organ transplant procedures has been steadily rising, the launch represented a significant step toward increasing transplant capabilities. By combining knowledge from the fields of cardiology, nephrology, hepatology, urology, oncology, and transplant surgery, the initiative sought to create a strong ecosystem for organ transplantation.

Leading specialists from the hospital group discussed the state of transplants today and the changing need for specialized transplant services in the area during the program.

Leading experts discussed the difficulties, developments, and cooperative tactics needed to improve transplant services in the area during a panel discussion led by Dr. Upal Sengupta.

Manipal Hospitals Kolkata further demonstrated its dedication to developing transplant medicine and expanding access to life-saving organ transplant services throughout Eastern India with the opening of the Manipal Comprehensive Transplant Centre.
