Loss of hearing power can be a difficult situation for any individual. In case of children this can impact overall development and learning process. Studies say that about 40% of young adults with hearing loss identified during childhood reported experiencing at least one limitation in daily functioning.

Decibel Hearing Clinic under the leadership of Mr. Chandan Saha and Mrs Kritika Saha has emerged as one of the best hearing care center dedicated to address hearing loss in pediatric population.

Every year, Decibel Hearing Clinic organized annual function for their younger patient to celebrate the spirit of listening. This year the annual function took place on 28^th Dec’19. The attraction for the event was Miss Vidisha Baliyan (Miss World 2019 Deaf). Miss Vidisha Baliyan is shining example of turning disability into ability and aspires to achieve greater heights. She represented the country in World Deaf Olympics 2017. She became the first India to win the title of Miss World Deaf 2019 this year. She also received National award under the category “Role Model Hearing Impairment (Female) 2019”.  During the event Miss Vidisha Baliyan, shared her story as hearing impaired with children & parents and motivated them to dream big.

This year the event was celebrated in association with Phonak.

While sharing the experiences of the event parents of hearing impaired children’s shared that with proper counseling and technologically advanced hearing devices their children now lives a life to normal life.
