Pinjar’s official trailer was released at INOX South City in Kolkata, marking a major milestone ahead of its theatrical release on July 10, 2026, after a successful run at a number of prestigious national and international film festivals.

Dr. Rudrajit Roy is the director and producer of Pinjar, which is presented by Chasing Dreams Films and Bell Jar Films. “Pinjar is not just a film; it is a mirror to our times. Whether it’s guilt, loneliness, grief, fear, or social expectations, everyone has a pinjar inside of them. We wanted to examine the process of liberation and self-discovery through this narrative,” said the director.

Animesh Ganguly is the associate producer. “Cinema has the power to connect deeply with people when it reflects real emotions and lived experiences. Pinjar is a tale of bravery, optimism, and metamorphosis. We think viewers will identify with its characters and their quest for liberation,” said Animesh Ganguly.

The film explores the invisible cages of fear, grief, loneliness, and societal expectations that frequently shape human lives in a moving examination of freedom, hope, resilience, and self-discovery.

The collaboration of Olivier A. Dock, CO-CEO of Hazelnut Media in Belgium, and Isabella Sreyashii Sen, CO-CEO of Hazelnut Media in Singapore, further enhances the movie’s global reach. As Pinjar’s Impact Producers, Executive Producers, and International Distributors, their participation highlights the film’s transition from a local narrative to one with a global audience.

The evening provided visitors with an opportunity to see Pinjar’s world on the big screen, where its evocative visuals, immersive soundtrack, and emotionally nuanced storytelling were intended to leave a lasting impression.
