Polycab Honors Unsung Heroes Of Durga Pujo In New Program

The individuals who make festivals bring them to life. Their enthusiasm and skill serve as the cornerstone of every celebration, from local communities to artisan workshops. The No. 1 Wires & Cables firm in India, Polycab India Limited, has teamed up with RJ Praveen to honor these unsung heroes by showcasing a tale that captures the essence of Durga Pujo and fulfills its promise of India’s Safe, Happy Connection.
The program is a reflection of Polycab’s conviction that significant brand relationships are developed not just via joyous occasions but also by making a real difference in the communities that enable those festivities. The brand continues to fulfill its promise of creating India’s Safe, Happy Connection through hyperlocal narrative and cultural resonance.
Through programs that honor regional customs, artists, and communities, Polycab has been interacting with communities during cultural festivals for many years. The company has increasingly concentrated on developing experiences that connect with local audiences while maintaining its commitment to safety and welfare, from joyous engagements during Ganesh Chaturthi to localized influencer collaborations across markets.

The Durga Pujo initiative this year expands on that idea. The artistry of craftspeople whose workshops serve as the origin of Bengal’s most beloved holiday lies behind each Durga idol. Recognizing this, Polycab collaborated with RJ Praveen to renovate the late Bablu Pal’s workshop, helping his wife, Polly Pal, maintain her family’s artistic legacy and carry on a custom intricately entwined with Kolkata’s joyous culture.
The workshop’s outdated electrical infrastructure was replaced overnight with Polycab Green Wires, switchgear, strip lights, ceiling fans, and switches. In addition to enhancing utility and safety, the intervention made the workplace more cheerful and productive for the craftspeople whose creations eventually serve as the focal point of the Durga Pujo festivities.
Through this metamorphosis, Polycab aimed to acknowledge an often-overlooked fact: a festival starts where its makers bring it to life, before it illuminates a city.
Polycab continues to use local voices, cultural moments, and community-led tales to generate meaningful interaction as consumers look to brands for authenticity and purpose. The brand wants to go beyond traditional holiday marketing and create real impact where it counts most by working with influencers and creators who have great local relevance.
This idea is reflected in the Durga Pujo initiative with RJ Praveen, which honors not only the celebration but also the individuals, locations, and tales that make it possible. Because every celebration should have a secure start.
