Puja Gift For Kids: Limited Edition Heritage Remote-Controlled Toys

Eveready Industries India Ltd. has introduced its newest cutting-edge invention for kids: Limited Edition Heritage Remote-Controlled Toys, an unmatched fusion of modern technology with old Indian heritage. This audacious project, which was unveiled amid the colorful festivities of Kolkata’s Durga Puja, a celebration of the mother that featured exemplary displays of music, art, and culture throughout Pandals, gives famous, centuries-old indigenous crafts—specifically, the terracotta horse, the Bengal owl, and the Raja Rani dolls—new mechanical life by giving them high-performance battery power.
The younger generation, who are growing up with remote-controlled cars, bikes, and battery-operated devices, is less familiar with the cultural significance and craftsmanship behind these traditional folk crafts and toys, despite the fact that they are an integral part of Bengali art and culture and are frequently seen in homes. Young people are becoming less interested in this classic art style. Mass-produced plastic toys cannot match the unique character, cultural value, and artistic spirit of these folk-art objects, which have been crafted by generations of artists.
Eveready incorporated its cutting-edge Ultima battery power into these traditional clay and timber frames in recognition of this cultural and economic divide. The outcome is spectacular: the colorful wooden Raja Rani Dolls gracefully dance, the auspicious Bengal Owl darts across the floor, and the fabled Terracotta Horse can gallop forward for the first time in history. Eveready has transformed traditional folk art into the contemporary language of play by using a remote control. It is an iconic brand’s attempt to support the livelihoods of the craftspeople who make these toys by reviving interest in and awareness of a legacy art form among the younger generation.
The project highlights Eveready Ultima batteries, which are the most potent batteries produced in India and are built especially for high-drain products such as gaming controllers, toys, medical equipment, and so forth.
Actress Raima Sen was present when Eveready showcased the remote-controlled historical toys at the Mudiali Club Durga Puja pandal. “I am ecstatic to witness these folk-art works come to life. I was surrounded by them as a child. Every time my grandma, Suchitra Sen, left town for a vacation or a shoot, she would always bring me one. The artistic and cultural heritage of these toys is so rich. It’s fantastic that Eveready and this group of artisans have recreated these well-known items in a way that may pique the interest of today’s kids,” said the actress.
During Durga Puja, the Limited Edition Toys will only be sold at Eveready’s booths at 95 Pally and Mudiali Club. As evidenced by their Pandal themes, 95 Pally and Mudiali Club Pujo Pandals have long supported and honored traditional creative forms. They were thrilled to support Eveready in this endeavor. Visitors to the pandals can participate in interactive engagement activities and hourly on-ground games at the stalls, with the chance to win these items as gifts. Commercial sales of the Limited Edition Toys are not possible.
With this project, Eveready is making sure that the nation’s traditional craftsmanship continues to flourish into the future rather than disappearing into the past.
