Special Celebration To Mark CIO Klub’s Fifth Anniversary

At Taj Bengal in Kolkata, the CIO Association / CIO Klub, a non-profit organization of CIOs throughout India that was founded in 2008 to foster a robust technological transformation in the nation, celebrated its fifth anniversary. More than 120 CIOs from across the country and even Bangladesh attended the event. Other CIOs attended from adjacent cities like Guwahati, Dhanbad, and Raipur in addition to Kolkata and other PAN India Metro cities.

The event was inaugurated by Babul Supriyo, Minister of Information Technology & Electronics and Non-Conventional & Renewable Energy, Govt. of WB.

It was graced by Man Mohan Goyal, President of CIO Klub Kolkata Chapter, Sanjeev Sinha, Treasurer, President – IT & Digitization & India Power Corporation Ltd, Sourav Das, Secretary, Group Chief of Digital & IT Rupa & Co, Sanjay Prasad, MC Member, CIO-R, CESC Ltd, Dr. Sandip Pradhan, MC Member CIO Exide Industries Ltd, Sanjay Goswami, MC Member IT Head Maithan Alloys Ltd, Manik Paul, MC Member CIO Vikram Solar Ltd, Vishnu Gupta, MC Member Chief Executive CIO on Demand, Pampa Basu, MC Member Senior Director ITC Infotech, Sanjay Kr Das, MC Member MD, WEBEL, Addl. Secretary IT & E Dept., CISO West Bengal, and others.

At present, there are more than 1600 CIOs of various organizations in India as members of this association.

CIO-Klub

The CIO Klub has consistently worked to provide a vibrant forum for networking and information exchange. By connecting like-minded individuals and offering them access to cutting-edge technologies, the club has assisted digital leaders in realizing their full potential. Members of the CIO Klub use networking to grow their companies and provide additional support to the Indian economy by endorsing government programs like Make in India, Digital India, and Self-reliant India.

CIO Klub is governed by a central Governing body (GB) and Chapter Councils. There are 14 chapters in India – Delhi NCR, Punjab in the North, Ahmedabad, Mumbai, Nagpur, Pune & Goa in the West, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Coimbatore & Kerala in the South, and Kolkata in the East. There is one International Chapter in Dubai and there are plans for more International Chapters in Singapore, Colombo & Dhaka.

The IT companies who participated in this event were PwC, E&Y, Canon, Arteria Technologies, Manage Engine, Cisco, Vi, Microsoft, SAP, Innoval Digital, Grant Thornton, Surflex Technologies, SGN, Black Box, 3st, DCCL, PrimeInfoServ,  Triz Technologies, Macaws Infotech and SentinelOne.
