His Holiness Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj, a renowned figure in the field of spiritual leadership, celebrated his 100th birthday with his followers and admirers at the Bharat Sevashram Sangha, Garia Branch.

The event was graced by Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj himself (Working President, Bharat Sevashram Sangha), Swami Girishanandaji Maharaj (Maharaj in charge of Garia Branch of Bharat Sevashram Sangha), and Dr. Sukumar Mukherjee (Retired Professor and Head of Medicine Medical College, renowned doctor and recipient of the various awards) alongside disciples, devotees, supporters and believers of Bharat Sevashram Sangha.

This event acknowledges a noteworthy person and commemorates a lifetime devoted to spirituality and service.

Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj, who was raised in the impoverished West Bengali village of Bangaon, was mentored by Swami Satchidanandaji Maharaj, also referred to as Baro Swamiji, on his spiritual path. His early spiritual experiences established the groundwork for his lifelong dedication to service.

Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj’s participation with Mahatma Gandhi in the historic 1946 journey from Ahmedabad to Noakhali was one of the turning points of his life. His desire to help others was sparked by this encounter, which brought him to Kolkata where he joined the Bharat Sevashram Sangha and spent more than 75 years serving its goals.

With the grace of Sangha Guru Swami Pranavanandaji Maharaj, the unshakable dedication of Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj has played a pivotal role in the establishment and growth of Bharat Sevashram Sangha centers across the globe. Serving as exemplars of the Sangha’s profound concept of service, dedication, and selflessness, these Sangha centers in the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, Australia, Fiji, and the West Indies promote the Sangha’s spiritual ethos far and wide.

As Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj approaches the extraordinary age of 100, his dedication to the Sangha’s holy purpose never wavers. He keeps working nonstop to monitor each branch, both domestically and internationally, with extreme care and commitment.

The occasion was enlivened by the presence of Dr. Sukumar Mukherjee, who launched a biography detailing the life journey of Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj.

Swami Purnatmanandaji Maharaj’s excellent leadership and unwavering commitment serve as a beacon of hope for future generations, encouraging people to embrace the principles of service, compassion, and spiritual enlightenment.
