Manicktala Chaltabagan Durgapuja Committee began the Durga Puja festivities with the grand inauguration of the pujo in the presence of esteemed guests. The event also marked the beginning of the Dhaak Utsav inauguration in the august presence of team of Bengali film Byomkesh Gowtro.

In its 76^th year, the Puja committee has come up with the theme of Kavigurur Shantinir. Tagore and Durga Ma is relatable with the culture of Bengal and this has led to the committee to think about this theme for the Durga Puja.

Director Arindam Sil, Abir Chatterjee, Bickram Ghosh, Sauraseni Maitra, Bibriti Chatterjee, Joydeep Kundu, Arjun Chakraborty, Anjan Dutt and others joined in to play the dhaak and ring in the festive feel.

Speaking at the event, Anjan Dutt said “Abir has come a long way and has been bettering himself day by day. According to me, he is the best Byomkesh till date and Byomkesh Gowtro is a fine film which the audience must watch”.

Abir Chatterjee who plays Byomkesh in the film said “I will just say that the film is a complete entertainer and I guarantee you that you will like it. There are five other films releasing on the same day and you must also watch them too”.
