Students enrolled in Classes VII through XII, those who have completed Class XII, and NEET/JEE repeaters are all eligible to take the VSAT. The exam will be administered online during a flexible window from September 27 to October 4, 2026, and offline on September 27 and October 4, 2026. Candidates are free to select any one-hour time slot on the day of their choice. The deadline for registration is September 25, 2026.

Every student can attempt the entire paper and show their true ability because each paper consists of 50 multiple-choice questions worth 100 marks that must be completed in 60 minutes without receiving a negative mark. From Class VII–VIII foundational learners to Class XI–XII NEET and JEE aspirants and repeaters, the syllabus is matched to pertinent school courses and calibrated independently across seven category groups, guaranteeing that each student is evaluated at a level suitable to their academic stage.
