Food in Bengal is far more than mere sustenance; it represents a deeply emotional connection, shared memories, and a vibrant culture passed down through generations.

To honor this rich culinary legacy, Chaudhury & Company—in partnership with Emami Healthy & Tasty—is launching the Ilish – Chingri Utsav starting from 28th July, 2026. This special festival celebrates the arrival of the monsoon, traditionally marked by Ilish (the queen of the river) and Chingri (prawn), both inseparable parts of every major celebration (Bhuribhoj) and festive lunch.

Sreenanda Shankar and Debojyoti Mishra graced the launch of this special food festival along with Shiladitya and Debaditya Chaudhury.

The meticulously curated menu draws inspiration from the culinary philosophies and traditions of Thakur Bari, the historic home of Rabindranath Tagore and a renowned cultural epicenter. Through extensive research into several historic Bengali cookbooks, Chaudhury & Company has sought to revive authentic flavors where familiar ingredients were blended with elegance, balance, and simplicity. Every dish respects traditional cooking techniques, ensuring that the soul of Bangalir ranna remains preserved.
