In collaboration with TeamLease EdTech, the top provider of learning and employability solutions in India, Adamas University announced the introduction of three NewGen Work-Linked Campus Degree Programs (WLDPs). The initiative sets a new standard for how higher education can directly lead to career outcomes because it is the first time a West Bengal university has integrated structured, paid employment into a full-time, on-campus degree.

The NewGen Work-Linked Campus Degree Programs will be available at Adamas University in several important undergraduate pathways, such as:

• B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (Business Application)
• B.Tech in Artificial Intelligence & Data Science (FinTech)
• BBA E-commerce

The launch coincides with a turning point in Indian higher education. The gap between a degree and true job readiness has never been more expensive, as only 4.2% of Indians between the ages of 15 and 59 have received formal vocational or technical training. By combining three outcomes—academic rigor, practical experience, and financial independence—that employers and students have traditionally had to choose between, these programs aim to close that gap.

In order to close the gap between education and employment, the NewGen Work-Linked Campus Degree Programs combine Experience learning on the job, learning in the classroom, and Digital learning.

The programs, which are offered under the NewGen Campus Degree framework, are designed as immersive, application-driven, full-time on-campus experiences based on actual career pathways. While still in college, students attend classes, collaborate with employers, and develop professional identities in addition to studying virtually. The National Education Policy 2020’s emphasis on incorporating vocational training into formal degree structures is perfectly aligned with the model.
