For the first time ever in the history of Newtown, an extraordinary painting exhibition was organized exclusively for citizens above 50yrs and kids below 15yrs, titled the Gold Age Exhibition.

The Green Studio & OM EVENTS were behind this effort, with support from Manorama Frames, to engage 2 different generations through art. Not only will this assist the elderly in overcoming depression and loneliness, but the young people will be inspired by seeing their skills displayed. This project is heavily motivated by a social concern.

More than 50 paintings of eminent and budding artists were showcased in the exhibition.

Managing Director HIDCO & Chairman NKDA Shri Debashis Sen was invited as a chief guest! He has also blessed the organizers by giving his first-ever painting – The Sunflower, to be exhibited! Professor Urmila Sen was the Prime Guest & she was overwhelmed by this new concept of the “Gold Age”.
