We all suffer from pain at some point in our lives. Joints, back, spine, knees, migraines, and others are some of the common pain issues faced by most individuals. Pain management therefore has become very important for doctors.

Understanding this growing need, ICRA-Pain 2024 was inaugurated at Biswa Bangla Convention Centre, Kolkata. It is spearheaded by the Daradia Pain Foundation.

Dr. Gautam Das who is the driving force behind Daradia Pain Foundation graced the press conference along with other doctors and spoke about the aim of this medical conference.

“We all take different pain-relieving medicines from time to time. But that is helpful for a short time. For long-term relief from pain, interventional pain management is the solution. It targets the underlying cause of the pain rather than providing short-term relief to the patients” said Dr. Das.

New pain management techniques like Regeneration Therapy, Bonemarrow cell therapy, PRP, selective nerve root block, and many other such treatment methods will be discussed.

Dr. Das also said “It is incorrect to think that other countries know more about pain management than us. Many doctors from other countries have come to this conference to enhance their knowledge. We have been working hard on these different techniques so that pain can be reduced for a long time. Short-term reliefs do not help a patient much”.

Not only doctors from different parts of the country, but the medical conference also has participation from doctors from other countries as well.

The conference will take place from the 8th to the 10th of March. On 10th March, participating doctors will get hands-on training about the different pain management techniques.

With the help of this medical conference, interventional pain management techniques will be highlighted. This will enable better management of pain in patients. As a result, they will be able to lead pain-free lives.
